Philip Marx Central Park

Location: Mojave and “E” Street, next to Wells Elementary School in downtown Techachapi

Named after the founder of Tehachapi, CA, Philips Marx Central Park offers 5 acres of mature trees and manicured grass to enjoy picnics, toss a Frisbee, celebrate the Tehachapi Oldtimers Reunion or the Tehachapi Mountain Festival! A central gazebo, picnic tables, barbeques, restrooms and newly renovated playgrounds are also available.

The Stephen Shy Activity Center, a community building located on south side of Central Park at 311 East D Street next to the public restrooms, is available for park programming, classes and special indoor events.

Fees for Private Use

Full Park	$500.00/day reservation fee + $1500.00 security deposit
Gazebo & Shade Structure	Without power: $75.00/day reservation fee + $75.00 security deposit
	With power: $100.00/day reservation fee + $75.00 security deposit

Gazebo and Shade Structure reservations and payment of fees must be made at least two weeks in advance at the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District Office, 490 West D Street, (661) 822-3228

No vehicles allowed on grass area. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of cleaning deposit.
