Tehachapi Valley Recreation & Park District presents the annual Fishing Derby at Brite Lake.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age range Age Ranges 0-9, 10-15 and 16+.

You’ll have a month to catch the tagged fish. Opportunity ends June 20 11:59 PM.
* MUST be registered for the Fishing Derby in order to claim tagged fish prize.

Location:Brite Lake, 22902 Banducci Road (see map)
Pre-Event Registration:$30.00 Adults (age 16+)
$25.00 Children (age 15 and younger)
Day of Event Registration:$35.00 Adults (age 16+)
$30.00 Children (age 15 and younger) – $5.00 discount will apply for multiple children.                                                                                                          **Shirts and shirt sizes are not guaranteed after April 13th, 2024. **
Boat Launch Fee:$5.00
** If you purchase a boat pass - you will pick up your pass at check in. Electric boats only. No gas motors will be allowed on the lake. Even if the gas engine is bagged, it will not be allowed on the lake. **
Fishing License Required:All participants age 16+ must have a valid California fishing license
Parking:Parking fee is waived for participating fishermen only.
Check-in:Check-in and get your shirt and wrist band from 3:00-6:00 PM Friday, May 17 at Brite Lake. Otherwise, staff will be up dark and early Saturday morning starting at 5:00 AM
